*I wanna thank Disney-Hyperion and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This doesn't effect in any way on my opinion on book*

This is not the end is a book about Lake and magnificent friendship she had with Penny and lovely relationship with Will. One day,she lose them both. Fortunately, society now has an opportunity to resurrect, but everyone can resurrect only one. But,Lake also has a brother in wheelchair. Which one will she choose?

On one cloudless, radiant summer afternoon, Lake Devereaux lost everything. The car crash claimed the lives of her best friend and boyfriend, the people who had become her family after her own fell apart. But she doesn’t have to lose them both.

The development of resurrection technology has changed the world. Under the new laws regulating the process, each person gets one resurrection to be used or forfeited on their eighteenth birthday. Mere weeks away from turning eighteen, Lake faces an impossible choice.

Envisioning life without one of the people she loves most is shattering enough, but Lake carries an additional burden: years ago, under family pressure, Lake secretly—and illegally—promised her resurrection to someone who isn’t even dead yet.

The search for answers about her future draws Lake more deeply into the secrets of her past until she begins to question everything about those closest to her. Betrayals and hurts both new and old threaten to eclipse the memories she once cherished.

Then Lake meets a boy unlike anyone she’s encountered before, who unflinchingly embraces the darkest parts of her life . . . and who believes that all resurrections are wrong.

Which path is the right one? And how can Lake start to heal when she can't move on?(source:goodreads)

First thing I have to say is that I had mixed feelings about this book. I never connected to Lake. Only character I liked was Ringo. And that really bothered me. But what I really liked about this book, and the reason why I gave this book 4 stars, is the sci-fi part  of the book. I liked the idea of resurrection and I was kinda sad it wasn't developed more. I know that this wasn't the main part of the book, but there were a lot of unanswered questions. But the point of the book, moral aspect, was really interesting thing. Being put in the position to choose between brother, best friend and boyfriend... I think that is mission impossible. Even though I never 'clicked' with Lake,I think she acted like a real teen. She had a lot of feelings, she complained but that was understandable because of the situation she was in. I liked characters of Will and Penny. In the beginning. Both were really good friends to Lake and I think that we need more friendships in YA books. But everything went down to drain at the end of book.

I wonder if for the rest of my life, I’ll be haunted by beautiful days.

I must mention that their parents was just awful. The kind of pressure they were putting on Lake was just repulsive. And that was the case with Lake's parents too. I know Matt is their son,and I understand the need for them to convince Lake to resurrect him,but I still think that pressure was too much. Also,I think that Matt was really unfair to Lake. I know that it was hard for him, being in wheelchair and all that, but that is no excuse. I'm in wheelchair too,but that doesn't give me the rights to be douchebag to everyone. But,I really liked Ringo. He was always there for Lake,in spite of problems he had. Their romance was beautyfull and I'm glad we had that kind of relationship in this book,in contrary to relationship between Lake and Will. So if you want a book about love, about friendship, moral, but that have a pinch of sci-fi and mystery, then this book is perfect for you. And who would you chose? I know what I would do in Lake position, but to see what she did you will have to read the book ;)
