The Chaos of standing still is a book about Ryn and Xander. And one wild night on Denver's airport.
When snowstorm happens in Denver,Ryn ends up stranded on airport in Denver. Even though she plans to spend all the time alone with her secrets, she accidentaly meet Xander,a boy with secrets on his own. What will happen when those two collide (literally!) will stay in your hearts always.

Over the course of one chaotic night stranded at the Denver airport, Ryn confronts her shattered past thanks to the charm of romance, the uniqueness of strangers, and the magic of ordinary places in this stunning novel from the author of Boys of Summer.

Ryn has one unread text message on her phone. And it’s been there for almost a year.

She hasn’t tried to read it. She can’t. She won’t. Because that one message is the last thing her best friend ever said to her before she died.

But as Ryn finds herself trapped in the Denver International Airport on New Year’s Eve thanks to a never-ending blizzard on the one-year anniversary of her best friend’s death, fate literally runs into her.

And his name is Xander.

When the two accidentally swap phones, Ryn and Xander are thrust into the chaos of an unforgettable all-night adventure, filled with charming and mysterious strangers, a secret New Year’s Eve bash, and a possible Illuminati conspiracy hidden within the Denver airport. But as the bizarre night continues, all Ryn can think about is that one unread text message. It follows her wherever she goes, because Ryn can’t get her brialliantly wild and free-spirited best friend out of her head.

Ryn can’t move on.

But tonight, for the first time ever, she’s trying. And maybe that’s a start.

As moving as it is funny, The Chaos of Standing Still is a heartwarming story about the earth-shattering challenges life throws at us—and the unexpected strangers who help us along the way.(source:goodreads)

This book made me feel soooo much! It's a really heartbreaking book but it will also made you heart warm, because its romance is perfect, especialy in this time of the year,it's a fall/winter kind of romance.
Also,I liked that we had before/now altering point. I love that a lot in a books,it just makes story richer and that was the case with this book too. Because of this points,we get to meet Lottie, which is  a really important thing because with meeting Lottie,we meet Ryn also. It gives us more insight in her life.

"Wanna hear something crazy?"

"Always."

I liked so many things, but there are some things I didn't like. Although the things I didn't like didn't really make a difference for me.
What I liked that characters were written so good, with real emotions and considering that they are teens, their behavior was truthfull.
Ryn is a very complex character who is dealing with a death of her best friend. Or at least she is trying to cope with it. I think she couldn't have been portrayed better. I know that some of the readers she will seem rude, but sometimes when people are grieving they are rude. And that's because they're so deep in their grief. And sometimes there is nothing else. There is nothing that can make it right. For Ryn,Lottie was everything. She was her sun. After Lottie died she felt lost. She felt like someone stranded on some island left alone. And with a one-year-without-Lottie aproached she started to lose even that little ground she had under her feet. Plus, she was alone at airport, far away from her home. So,yes, she was rude. And I was sad because Xander was really nice to her. But sometimes there is things we can't control. But there is also people who will stuck with you in this moments. This time that was Xander. Sweet, cute, smart and above all kind - Xander. Xander is a real boyfriend material. He is so kind, and funny and he is just everything a girl needs. I felt sorry for him everytime Ryn pushed him from herself, but I'm so glad he was so determined to help her and be there for her,it was so sweet and a very big part of the book. Why? Well, because stranger sometimes can help us. Because sometimes people need someone who they don't know to tell them all. To make them feel less pain. And Xander was all of that. He was stranger to whom Ryn could open up,without
consequences, without feeling wrong and not feeling good enough. Sometimes you need someone to listens to you without judging you.
Romance in this book was perfect and I think everyone need a guy in their life who is just like Xander. Or a friend,it doesn't really matter. Everyone need a person like Xander in their life. Period.

"There is no choked sobs. No desoerate need to breathe. No agony. It's just quiet sadness. Sadness that I'll carry around for the rest of my life. Sadness that I'll eventually learn to live with. Sadness that will become a part of me. Shape me. Make me stronger. Because if I can live through this,I can live through anything."

What I didn't like about this book is that we have a lot of characters who didn't really matter to me. Maybe they would if we got the chance to meet them,to found out more about them more. But that wasn't the case in this book, which is really unfortunate. But,that didn't bother that much. What bothered me more was the fact that Ryn HATED Doctor Who! How could anyone hate Doctor Who?! It's a perfect show! But it's Xander's favourite show so I guess it's okay ;) Also,my favorite episode is The Doctor falls,if you were wondering :)

So,all in all,I adored this book! Of course, this book is not perfect but it came in the right moment and I enjoyed every minute reading it! This is a perfect book for lovers of Jennifer Niven and John Green and I seriously doubt there is somenone who will not love this book. If you want to feel love this winter, then this book is perfect for you, because I'm sure this book will not disappoint you.

Rating: 4.7 ladybugs :)
