Music brought Autumn, Shay, and Logan together. Death wants to tear them apart.

Autumn always knew exactly who she was—a talented artist and a loyal friend. Shay was defined by two things: her bond with her twin sister, Sasha, and her love of music. And Logan always turned to writing love songs when his love life was a little less than perfect.

But when tragedy strikes each of them, somehow music is no longer enough. Now Logan can’t stop watching vlogs of his dead ex-boyfriend. Shay is a music blogger struggling to keep it together. And Autumn sends messages that she knows can never be answered.

Despite the odds, one band's music will reunite them and prove that after grief, beauty thrives in the people left behind.

Grief is a wicked thing. You never know how it will strike you. Or when. Or for how long. Will it make you scream or it will leave you gasping for air. Will it hit you while you are listening to a radio or eating a breakfast. And the most frightening thing about the grief is that it never leaves you. At the begining it's a big bad wolf that's always ready for an attack. But after some time, it gets used to you. And you tame it. And then the big bad wolf becomes a puppy. That will follow you wherever you go. And it will be easier. But it will never disappear. Because the person you miss is never really gone. Because all you can think is: She will never smile again. He will never dance to a song you heard on the radio. She will never wake you up with a hug. He will never get you hooked on something he loves. Recommend you a book. Look at you. Smile on your lame joke. She will never graduate. Be in love. Have a family. Be happy. He will never be 22. And all you can think is: I'm older now than he will ever be. And it hurts. And it will always hurt. Not all the time. Sometimes years will pass before you remember how she smelled like summer when she hug you. And sometimes you will think about her for days. And all of that is allright. Everybody griefs differently. And while you have someone with you who will walk the dog sometimes, everything is going to be okay.

I focus on all the other people I love;on all the beauty that remains.

And this book, this magnificient book is about that. Nothing important happens. There are no big plot twists or mystery behind everything. But it's a book about grief. How grief is different for everyone. And in the same time how similiar it is. This book will make you cry with Autumn. Sob with Shay. Make you angry with Logan. Leave you without an air with Dante. It will make you feel like you are grievieng too. But at the same time it will make you feel good, because at the end, this book shows us that there are people who understand. That you are not alone. And that there are people who will make it okay. Who will walk the dog with you.

Everything is so fucking beautyful, and absolutely nothing hurts. If you don't let it.

I've never read a book like this one. It's so lyrical, and raw and heartbreaking. Characters are so well developed that you actually thing all of them are real. This book will show you that even though it hurts now, there is always a hope that it will be better one day. This book left me breathless. And I hope it will leave you breathless too.

At such moments I don't think about all the misery, but about the beauty that still remains.
